However, to a serious astrologer, the transition of astrological "Ages" is a massive, mathematically severe, and incredibly violent process that fundamentally rewrites the philosophical and spiritual operating system of planet Earth.
We are currently living in the painful bridge. We are watching the 2,000-year-old Age of Pisces collapse, while the Age of Aquarius frantically attempts to build its new matrix. Let me explain exactly what an Astrological Age is, why the transition feels so scary right now, and what the future of human spirituality demands.
The Mechanics of the Precession of the Equinoxes
An "Astrological Age" is a product of astronomy. The Earth wobbles very slowly on its axis, a phenomenon known as the Precession of the Equinoxes. Because of this wobble, the constellation that sits perfectly behind the Sun on the exact day of the Spring Equinox very slowly shifts backward through the zodiac.
It takes roughly 2,160 years for the Sun to move backward through one zodiac sign.
For the last 2,000 years, the Sun arose against the backdrop of Pisces. Slowly, painfully, it is shifting into Aquarius.
The Collapse of the Age of Pisces (The Age of Belief)
To understand where we are going, you must understand what we are leaving.
Pisces is ruled by Jupiter and Neptune. It is a sign of deep water, profound mystical devotion, massive centralized religions, ultimate sacrifice, and blind faith.
During the Age of Pisces (roughly 1 AD to the present), global society was structured entirely around belief and unseen saviors. We built massive cathedrals, blindly trusted grand institutional authority (the Church, the Monarchy, the State), and accepted the narrative that suffering and martyrdom were inherently holy.
Today, the Piscean structures are failing. The massive institutional trust that held the world together has completely dissolved. We no longer blindly "believe" the institutions. The ocean of Pisces is draining, leaving massive spiritual and societal confusion in its wake.
