Then an older astrologer — a family friend — said something that rewired my entire understanding: "Rajesh, you keep looking at OTHER people's 2nd house . Have you checked yours?" I hadn't.

And when I did, I realized Jupiter was sitting in my 8th house aspecting my 2nd, and I was running a Saturn Dasha with Saturn placed in the 12th house of expenses. No wonder money came in and disappeared immediately.
